I feel masks do not help stop the spread. Because if money exchanges hands then this can spread event if the doctor is wearing a mask .
It is shocking to see not a single chemist in mumbai has the tamiflu tablets.
Royal chemist said no
nanavati chemist said no
so in mumbai the capsules are called antiflu
and these are the biggest chemists
The test for H1N1 is still so costly that i feel 90% of the poor will never get tested and keep spreading the flu .
The cost for the test is 6500/- Rupees + 500/- Rupees for the home visit from
Super Religare Formally SRL Ranbaxy +(91)-22-61636450
Usually, a quick test (for example, nasopharyngeal swab sample)
Symptoms of swine flu are similar to most influenza infections: fever (100 F or greater), cough, nasal secretions, fatigue, and headache, with fatigue being reported in most infected individuals.
The provider may choose to write a prescription for Tamiflu or Relenza, to be filled only if flu symptoms appear.

Decisions about starting antiviral treatment should not wait for laboratory confirmation of influenza
Two FDA-approved influenza antiviral medications are recommended for use in the United States during the 2013-2014 influenza season: oral oseltamivir (Tamiflu®) and inhaled zanamivir (Relenza®). Oseltamivir and zanamivir are chemically related antiviral medications known as neuraminidase inhibitors that have activity against both influenza A and B viruses.

If you are taking more than one medicine they may interact with each other. At times your prescriber may decide to use medicines that interact, in other cases this may not be appropriate.
The decision to use medicines that interact depends on your specific circumstances. Your prescriber may decide to use medicines that interact, if it is believed that the benefits of taking the medicines together outweigh the risks. In such cases, it may be necessary to alter your dose or monitor you more closely.
Tell your prescriber the names of all the medicines that you are taking so that they can consider all possible interactions. This includes all the medicines which have been prescribed by your GP, hospital doctor, dentist, nurse, health visitor, midwife or pharmacist. You must also tell your prescriber about medicines which you have bought over the counter without prescriptions.
The following medicines may interact with Tamiflu:
chlorpropamide
methotrexate
phenylbutazone
probenecid
If you are taking Tamiflu and any of the above medicines, make sure your prescriber knows about it.
