Medications for diabetes (Antidiabetes drugs) interacts with MELATONIN
Melatonin might lower blood sugar levels. Taking melatonin along with diabetes medications might cause blood sugar to drop too low. Monitor your blood sugar closely.

Warfarin is used to slow blood clotting. Melatonin might increase the effectiveness of warfarin. Taking melatonin along with warfarin might increase the chances of bruising and bleeding.


Results: Melatonin administration significantly increased the plasma levels of triglyceride by 27.2%

People with Type 1 diabetes taking melatonin have experienced high blood glucose, and melatonin has also been shown to reduce glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity.25-Sept-2014
